Mastering Shostakovich - Last performance with Maestro Michiyoshi Inoue

Michiyoshi Inoue has announced his retirement from conducting in December 2024. This will be his last performance with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, and although we will miss him greatly as we have performed with the orchestra on many stages since our first performance together in 1976, we hope that we will be able to share in Maestro Inoue's "final glory" with him. Maestro Inoue's choice of composer is Shostakovich, who is an incarnation of himself. In the first half of the concert, we will present the Cello Concerto No. 2 with Haruma Sato, the winner of the difficult Munich International Music Competition, and in the second half, we will present the Symphony No. 10, which still contains many mysteries.
