Minoru Nojima Memorial Concert No.1 Piano Concerto Unofficial

Dedicated to Mr. Minoru Nojima, a world-class pianist born in Yokosuka, Japan
Mr. Minoru Nojima (1945-2022) was a leading international pianist in Japan. He was known as a performer who conveyed the essence of piano music, and in later years, as president of the Tokyo College of Music, he devoted himself to fostering future generations of pianists, and is also known for having nurtured Mao Fujita, a young pianist who is currently making great strides in the world.
Since 1995, he has appeared at the Yokosuka Art Theater 15 times in recitals and concertos, and since 2006, as the chairman of the jury for the "Minoru Nojima-Yokosuka Piano Competition," which bears his name, he has devoted himself to discovering and fostering outstanding young pianists.
In honor of Mr. Nojima, who has made a great contribution to the world of music, two "Minoru Nojima Memorial Concerts" will be held at the Yokosuka Art Theater.
The piano music performed in memory of the late Mr. Nojima will be a special once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the winners and prizewinners of the Minoru Nojima Yokosuka Piano Competition and 10 members of the jury, whom Mr. Nojima had trusted.
