What is Dosanko Konsato and Dosakon...
Dosanko = Dosanko = Hokkaido people (the conductor and some members of the group are Dosanko), and (since there was already a male chorus enclosure to which various senior members belonged called Dosan Choraleers), the name was simply added to Dosanko and Kon-sato.

The group was formed in 2015. Originally, it was a small choir of 24 members, including volunteers from the Tokyo College of Music (multi-major) plus Eiji Oka, a junior member of the Sapporo Hokuyo Junior High School Chorus Club.
Since the 5th meeting after graduation, the group has transcended the boundaries of the university, and it has been nine years since its formation. After a three-year hiatus due to Corona, the group was revived last year.
The choir is now a family-like group with members ranging in age from high school students to 40 years old.

Dosakon's specialties and real pleasures are
(1) Hellish muscle-training vocal exercises against the aging of the choir members
(2) The conductor's frequent and arrogant changes to the program
(3) The warm but individualistic members brought together by a mysterious fate
(4) Selection of poems that we want to convey now, and passionate performances that convey the Japanese language and words with empathy and soul.
In the process, both the members and the audience are moved to tears every year at this concert.

The theme of the 9th Dosakon is life, death, and the reason for living.
In the first stanza, we will present the scenery seen through the filter of the poet Michizo Tachihara, who died young of an illness, and his realization of life.
In the second stage, in addition to the male chorus led by President Horii, the female chorus led by Diva Botei will sing a song of youth.
In the third stage, the suite "The Meaning of Dreams" composed by Maki Ueda will present a view of life and death that is similar to the philosophy of Lao Zhuang, who believes that the present world may be like a dream.
In the 4th stanza, a requiem in Japanese for a world full of sad news.
In the fifth and final stanza, Dosakon sings about the reason for living and love, and gives affirmation to everyone who gathers at the concert.

We hope that a verse of a poem or a piece of music will touch the heartstrings of the audience and give them the energy to live for tomorrow.

After all, we are opening with "Kawaguchi/Ikuma Dan" and singing "Finale. This is unprecedented.
The masks and drinking parties have been lifted, and we hope you will come to Dosakon, where the bonds and feelings are stronger than ever.
