Double Rees" is a group of four women playing an 18th century style (period instruments) oboe, bassoon, and harpsichord.
For their 13th concert, the group will be joined by viola da gamba player Hisashi Kato to perform an ensemble piece by German late Baroque composer and music theorist J. D. Heinichen. Heinichen's lively and gallant music has been attracting renewed attention in recent years and has been featured on many recordings.
We hope you will enjoy this performance at the Seiyo-kan in May, when the adjacent rose garden is in full bloom.
