This year's program features Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" and "Passion Sonata" as the first and last sonatas in a program of "true masterpieces" that are not only famous but also of excellent quality.
As Beethoven himself described "Moonlight" as a "sonata in the style of a fantasy," it is a work that broke the mold of the piano sonata.
The "Passion" is perhaps the pinnacle of piano sonatas, and in a sense, it is the greatest work that no one after Beethoven has been able to reach.

The masterpieces I have placed between these two pieces are all works that I have always loved to play.

Please enjoy this "collection of true masterpieces" which is maximal in both content and recognition of the works!
