Miyushi Kaneko was born in 1989 to a Japanese father and Hungarian mother. At the age of 6, he moved to Hungary by himself to attend Bartók Music Elementary School, and in 2001, at the age of 11, he enrolled in the Special Talent Development Course at the Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary. In 2006, he returned to Japan with a full degree and transferred to Tokyo College of Music High School. He graduated from Tokyo College of Music at the top of his class and completed the graduate course there. In 2008, she won the first prize at the Bartok International Piano Competition, as well as numerous other international competitions. He received the 22nd Idemitsu Music Award and other prizes. She has performed with Zoltan Kocsis, Kenichiro Kobayashi, Jonathan Nott, and others. He has also performed extensively outside of Japan. In recent years, she has been actively engaged in outreach activities as part of her life's work. She is a regular host of NHK-FM's "Recital Passio," and will celebrate the 10th anniversary of her debut in Japan in 2021 with a solo recital at Suntory Hall in March 2022.
