 This is a joint concert by two people with deep knowledge of modern and contemporary music: Nakata, a soprano, wrote her master's thesis on Kosaku Yamada, and Hsieh, a pianist, also wrote his thesis with reference to Messiaen, focusing on Hikaru Hayashi and Toru Takemitsu.

Soprano: Yuka Nakata
Graduated from Kyoto Women's University, Faculty of Developmental Education, Department of Education, Music Education Course. Completed the Graduate School of Developmental Education, Kyoto Women's University, majoring in Expressive Culture. She is currently teaching chorus as the permanent conductor of the Kyoto Women's University Women's Chorus. She won the fifth prize in the vocal music division for university students at the 23rd Great Wall Cup International Music Competition. She won the Jury Prize in the University Student Division of the 40th All Japan Junior Classical Music Competition for Vocal Music. Selected for the 32nd Burkhardt International Music Competition, Vocal Division. Studied piano under Masako Furukawa and Sachiyo Hashimoto, and voice under Tadao Tamura, Jun Tanaka, and Nami Gahapka.

Piano: Hanoka Xie
Graduated from Osaka Prefectural Yuhigaoka High School, Music Department. Graduated from Doshisha Women's University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Music, Performance Major, Keyboard Instruments Course. She received the Doshisha Women's University Niijima Prize. She is currently a second-year student at the Kyoto Women's University Graduate School of Developmental Education, majoring in Expressive Culture. She won the Excellence Award at the 39th JPTA Piano Audition Regional Competition and the Excellence Award at the National Competition. She has studied under Masaru Kawae, Chichi Funabiki, and Satomi Inoue. Currently studying under Masakazu Otani.
