The 47th Pitina Competition Solo and Duo Prizewinners Memorial Concert

Part 2

2024/03/24(Su.) 17:30 Starting

Dai-ichi Seimei HallTokyo

Official https://concert.piano.or.jp/yp/soloduo.html

The second part will feature a succession of Gold Prize winners, who are arguably the best of their generation in the Japanese piano world; winners of the biennial two-piano and Yasuko Fukuda Award selection competitions will also appear in the second part.

Beginning with the three first-place two-piano pairs, the day will conclude with the Grand Prix chamber music performance, a tradition of the Prizewinners' Commemorative Concert. Ms. Aimi Suzuki, who showed a magnificent performance with an orchestra, will take on Mozart. Please look forward to this concert together with the solo performance in the first part.

The Pitina Piano Competition is one of the largest piano competitions in the world, boasting a total of approximately 40,000 participant pairs (qualifying to national total).

The levels range from A2 (pre-school age) to special, and from beginner to advanced for four hands, etc. The highest level, the special level, has seen Akikazu Kitamura, Yuria Nomura, and Anna Ogi win the Grand Prix for the past three years.

The winners' commemorative concert is held every year in March, where the winners showcase their progress over the last half year of winning the prize. The prizewinners who perform are the top two to five winners of each level in Japan, and this is an opportunity to enjoy the top talents of each generation in Japan at one time. In addition, chamber music performances by the grand prize winners have become a tradition, and this year's grand prize winner, Mr. Suzuki, will perform chamber music in the second part of the concert.

We hope you will enjoy the winners' commemorative concert as a place to discover new talents and as a goal to participate in the competition.
