The Pitina Piano Competition is one of the largest piano competitions in the world, boasting a total of approximately 40,000 participant pairs (qualifying to national total).

The competition is divided into different age groups, from A2 (pre-school age) to Special Grade, and from beginner to advanced level for four hands, etc. In the Special Grade, the highest of the three, Meihito Kitamura, Yuria Nomura, and Anna Ogi have won the Grand Prix for the past three years.

The winners' commemorative concert is held every year in March, where the winners showcase their progress over the last half year of winning the prizes. The prizewinners who perform are the top two to five winners from each level of the national competition, providing an opportunity to enjoy the top talents of each generation in Japan at one time.

In addition to the Grand Prix soloists, winners of the smaller classes also have the talent to eventually become Special Grand Prix winners. In the past, past Grand Prix winners such as Hayato Kakuno, Seiya Kamei, and Yuria Nomura have experienced this stage and spread their wings to become Grand Prix winners.

We hope you will enjoy the winners' commemorative concert as a place to discover new talents and as a goal to participate in the competition.
