Stage 1 "Suite for Male Chorus Yanagawa Fuzoku-Shi" (Folk Songs of Yanagawa River)
This work represents a scene from Yanagawa in Fukuoka Prefecture, where Kitahara Hakushu spent his younger days, and is also the debut work of the composer, Takehiko Tada. It is a wonderful collection of songs that give a sense of the relaxing atmosphere of the Yanagawa River.

Stage 2 "Eugen Suhonu Male Chorus Collection"
We will perform works by Eugen Sukhonnyu, the successor to Bartók and Kodály in Eastern Europe. Sukhonnyu was an activist who wished more than anything else for the restoration of his native Slovakia, and he focused on compositions based on the folk music of his native Slovakia. You will enjoy the synergy of our music, which expresses strong feelings against oppression and nostalgia, and the powerful yet graceful sound of our music.

Stage 3: "Three Lamentations" for male chorus and piano
Three Lamentations" is a work in which Professor Tatsuya Tanaka breathes life into the poems expressing the tragedy of the Ashio mine poisoning incident written by Yuukichi Henmi, a poet of the Taisho and early Showa eras who was known as the Japanese Rimbaud.
This is the first time for this collection to be performed outside of the premiere group. Please do not miss this opportunity!

Stage 4 "Tchaikovsky Songs
This is a collection of songs by the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky, arranged for male chorus by Mr. Yoichiro Fukunaga. The poems of the songs were written by famous German and Russian poets such as Heinrich Heine, Goethe, and Tolstoy. This time, we will perform the work in German using the original score, which has been in Doshisha Glee's possession for many years and has never been published.
It is a large piece that requires a variety of expressive techniques, and the hurdles are high, but all the members of the group have been studying hard.
We will perform it in German.
