-Ex Novo "Year-End Vespro! vol.3 First amateur participation work
The annual "Year-end Vespro!" by Ex Novo, an antique music ensemble specializing in Italian Baroque music. The first amateur participation in the "Year-End Vespro! This year, conductor Yasufumi Fukushima and amateur vocalists will take on the challenge of performing the "Prayer of the Tave of the Virgin Mary" (commonly known as "Vespro"), which is considered a milestone in Western music, on an annual basis.
It has been 150 years since J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel. C. Monteverdi was active from the Italian Renaissance to the Baroque period. His music was praised as "La doppia armonia" (the rich sound of the celestial sphere) at the beginning of "Madrigale, Vol. 7". We have named our group after him in tribute to him.
Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the mediator of salvation and peace for souls in the midst of the religious conflict and warfare that engulfed Europe, the piece is considered a difficult piece, as it follows the tradition of Renaissance church music while incorporating more innovative Baroque compositional techniques. We have prepared this piece with intensive study based on the interpretation and performance method of Italian ancient music in order to bring its beauty to the ears of as many people as possible.
We hope you will come to the Vienna Hall, which boasts of a beautiful pipe organ and excellent acoustics.
