Mozart will be performed by Schellenberger, a former solo oboe of the Berlin Philharmonic!
Hansjörg Schellenberger, former solo oboist with the Berlin Philharmonic and recently gaining recognition as a conductor, makes his PAC subscription debut! The program features two Viennese geniuses, Mozart and Beethoven.
In the first half of Mozart's "Concerto for Flute and Harp," Schellenberger will switch from baton to oboe and perform the piece as if he were blowing. The harpist is Margit-Anna Schuss, who is also a guest harpist with the Berlin Philharmonic and is well known as a soloist and chamber musician. The mature sound produced by these two musicians, both of whom have built their careers with the Berlin Philharmonic, will take the PAC to new heights.
The second half is Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. It is a masterpiece that everyone knows, starting with the fateful motive "Jajajajaan," and a special program that PAC performed at the first subscription concert. This subscription concert is a chance to enjoy the charm of Schellenberger twice in one performance, as an oboe player and conductor. Please enjoy this gorgeous combination.
