Kawagoe Sowa Soyukai Brass Band

You can cry, laugh, and scream during the performance.
Such is the case with Kawagoe Kanawa's 17th family concert. (Free admission!)

The first part of the concert will feature masterpieces from composers and works that will celebrate the Memorial Year in 2024. We will present an excerpt from "Turandot" from the works of Giacomo Puccini, who will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his death! And two Ghibli works, "The Witch's Delivery Service," celebrating the 35th anniversary of its release, and "Howl's Moving Castle," celebrating the 20th anniversary of its release, will be performed under the baton of Akihiko Hagiwara, who was appointed assistant conductor in June of this year 😺.

The second part is entitled "Pops a la carte" and will feature various genres of music that can be enjoyed by men and women of all ages, along with Kanawa Kawagoe's ingenious direction. The second part will feature "Sousa March Medley," a playful medley of the famous marches of Sousa, who was called the "King of Marches. The medley will be followed by three gorgeous songs from the popular two-member unit YOASOBI: "Running Into the Night", "Gunsei", and "Idol"! Let's wave your hands and get excited! The famous song "Tokyo Boogie Woogie" has been attracting renewed attention through the morning TV series "Boogie Woogie". Let's sing "Subaru" together in memory of singer-songwriter Shinji Tanimura, who sadly passed away on October 8 this year! The last song will be a fantastic arrangement by Masamichi Amano, a leading figure in Japanese computer music known in the brass band world, from "Earth, Wind & Fire," a funk band symbolic of the 1970s that everyone knows! Can you all stay still in the disco-turned-Westa Kawagoe? ⁉︎🕺🏽
