Yutaka Sado will tour Japan for the first time since assuming the position of Music Director of the New Japan Philharmonic, performing two of Tchaikovsky's most popular works, "Piano Concerto No. 1" and "Symphony No. 5".
The soloist, Hayato Tsunono, is widely known as a YouTuber under the name "Cateen" and has been expanding his activities by establishing a base in New York. Kakuno's music, which unfolds with a lucid touch, is full of noble sounds and noble sentiments, along with vividly pulsating rhythms.
The two musicians performed together for the first time in December 2022, and both felt a certain sense of mutual trust. Sado suggested that they next collaborate on a classic classical work, and they decided on Tchaikovsky's "Piano Concerto No. 1" on the spot. Tchaikovsky's music, with its flowing melody and dignified expression, was a perfect match for Kakuno. On the other hand, Yutaka Sado, who is full of passion and at the same time has an excellent sense of balance, is also very good at Tchaikovsky, and in this splendid competition, he will surely provide a rich sound with a dramatic sound world.
