Musica Amicus Chamber Music Concert

The name "musica amicus" means "friends of music" in Latin.
We are pleased to present this concert with the cooperation of our friends, mainly those we have met through the Tokyo Musikverein Symphony Orchestra, an amateur orchestra, as well as those with whom we have close ties. We are very grateful for the opportunity to expand our circle of musical friends and to engage in chamber music. In this concert, we will perform "String Quartet No. 5," which is rarely performed among Beethoven's string quartets but has a clear and attractive atmosphere, "Suite for 13 Wind Instruments," a work from his youth that shows a glimpse of Strauss's unique and brilliant orchestration, and in the main program, "Seven Quartets," a masterpiece from Beethoven's early period that influenced other composers. The main program includes "Seventh Quartet," a masterpiece from Beethoven's early years that influenced other composers as well.
These are all bright and attractive masterpieces suitable for the beginning of the New Year. Please come and join us.
