The chamber orchestra Orquestra Classica was founded in 2013 under the advocacy of Yu Omori, Principal Oboe of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.
The orchestra performs mainly with alumni of the University of Tokyo's Music Department Orchestra and with the support of outstanding professional players.
The orchestra aims to pursue the ideal of orchestral music through natural and free ensemble playing classical works by Haydn and other composers, as well as modern and contemporary works that inherit the best of Haydn's music.
