The 58th Regular Concert of Tokyo Gakugei University Orchestra

2023/12/24(Su.) 16:00 Starting

Nakano ZERO Main HallTokyo

Hello, this is the Tokyo Gakugei University Orchestra! We are the Tokyo Gakugei University Orchestra.
We are an intercollegiate club based at Tokyo Gakugei University, and currently have 97 members in grades 1~4.
Our main goals are the Spring Concert in May and the Regular Concert in December.

In this 58th Regular Concert, we will perform three pieces: Saint-Saens' "Bacchanal from the opera "Samson and Delilah", Borodin's "Overture and Dances of the Dagatans from the opera "Prince Igor", and Rachmaninov's "Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27".

Rachmaninoff's "Symphony No. 2" is an hour long symphony, and we have been working on the music with great attention to detail on how to compose and deliver it to the audience.
This is the first time for the members of the orchestra, who have been unable to perform satisfactorily due to the effects of the new coronavirus, to be able to perform a subscription concert without being restricted in any way.

The three pieces in the program are of a high degree of difficulty, but we hope that through our performance you will be able to feel the willful music presented by the members as one.

We look forward to seeing you at the Main Hall of Nakano ZERO on December 24 (Sun.).
