Keigo Mutsukawa, Concert Series <Last Night

Keigo Tsumikawa, a pianist based in Japan and Europe, will hold a series of concerts at Hamarikyu Asahi Hall from December 4 (Mon.) to 8 (Fri.), 2012.
This is the second concert series following last year. This year, the first and second nights will feature a program centered on Bach, while the third and fourth nights will feature works that are both introspective and powerful. The third and fourth nights will feature introspective yet powerful works, and the final night will feature a special program of selections from both programs.
The first and second nights are centered on J.S. Bach, whom I hold in the highest esteem. On the third and fourth days, we will perform works by Franck, Reger, and Shostakovich to give the audience a deeper understanding of both Bach's spirit and his technique.
On the third and fourth days, we have chosen works in which the composer quietly reveals his true feelings in order to convey the power of unglamorous, introspective music." (Mutsukawa)
This concert will be an opportunity to enjoy the music of Mutsukawa, a student of piano and fortepiano at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, who has a deep knowledge of ancient instruments and a wide range of repertoire.
