MUSIC DAY IN KUNITACHI 2023

Akira Miyoshi is a composer of contemporary music who has made a significant contribution to the promotion of music and cultural arts in Japan. A new project will be launched at Geiko by Ms. Noriko Kato, a world-renowned percussionist who was taught by Akira Miyoshi, and members of the young performer development program inc. produced by Ms. Kato. The two-day event will be filled with new challenges, including the start of a collaboration with dancer Benei Nakamura for a re-staging of Junichiro Tanizaki's "The Key" (with music by Miyoshi), which Kato co-produced in Japan and Belgium and gave its world premiere in Brussels in 2016.
