The Hagen Quartet, one of the world's leading string quartets in both name and reality, and Mao Fujita, a very popular pianist whose brilliant performances have made him the talk of the town. This is an astonishing collaboration of these masterful performers who have established themselves in their respective fields!
Both performers share many common elements in their playing styles, however. They are orthodox and never eccentric, yet they have achieved a one-of-a-kind performance that is "modern, universal, and overwhelming," with astonishing technique, breadth of expression, and sparkling individuality that the previous generation did not possess.
Fujita, who is currently studying in Berlin, will perform with Hagen Q, which is based in Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, and has been thoroughly engaged in works from the German and Austrian cultural spheres. Together with the Mozart and Debussy quartet at the Philia Hall, Hagen Q will perform for the first time in 15 years, since 2008, in a space with 500 seats.
