Mejiro Philharmonic Orchestra

Hello, we are the Mejiro Philharmonic Orchestra.
Our orchestra was founded in 2018, and we have been working every day with the goal that both the musicians who play the music and the audience who listen to the melody can enjoy the music together. Thanks to your support, we are celebrating our 5th anniversary this year.

The first piece on this program will be "Les Preludes," a symphonic poem based on the poem "Life is a Prelude to Death," which expresses F. Liszt's views on life.

The second piece is Symphony No. 3, "The Rhine," said to have been inspired by R. Schumann's favorite stroll along the Rhine River and the Cardinal's inauguration ceremony held in the magnificent Cologne Cathedral, located upstream.

The main work is the Symphony No. 2, also known as the "Countryside" Symphony, which reflects the beautiful melodies that J. Brahms danced to in his summer retreat in Pertsach.

All of these pieces were inspired by the composers' poetry and landscapes. We will devote ourselves to expressing their emotional landscapes and to deliver a performance that our audience can feel and enjoy.
