Message to the audience
I became interested in becoming a musician more than 20 years ago when I happened to come across a CD of an English concert in which Mr. Standisi had been a soloist for many years and was struck by lightning. I am still in awe of the fact that I was able to perform with him on the same stage twice before, and it is still a treasured memory.
His sparkling tone from the beautiful 1685 Giovanni Grancino instrument has a charm that captures the hearts of not only the audience, but also those who perform with him. I want to hear that sound again up close and share it with as many people as possible. This is the purpose of this project.
Together with his esteemed musicians, Mr. Standisi will present his repertoire of Bach, Handel, and Vivaldi.
