Toshiya Gomi [Violin
Born in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture in 1968, Gomi began playing the violin at the age of 4. He discovered the joy of ensemble playing through club activities while attending junior and senior high school. In 1992, after graduating from university, he joined the Kamakura Symphony Orchestra, a long-established local citizens' orchestra, and was appointed concertmaster the following year. Since then, he has been the "face of Kamakura Symphony Orchestra" for more than 30 years. Since 2015, he has also served as concertmaster of "Mihara Symphonica," which was formed by amateur orchestra members mainly in the Kanto area, and has made guest appearances as guest concertmaster with several other amateur orchestras. In recent years, he has also focused on the field of chamber music, and has given more than 25 concerts with the Ensemble Hanane (Sakurayama, Zushi). In addition, he produces the "MUSIK SPIELEN Series" (Ofuna, Kamakura City) and contributes to the local community by giving concerts at the request of shrines, temples, and other facilities in the ancient capital of Kamakura.
