<Performer Profile: Toshiya Gomi (Violin)
Toshiya Gomi began playing the violin at the age of four and discovered the joy of ensemble playing through club activities while attending junior and senior high school. After graduating from university, he joined the amateur orchestra "Kamakura Symphony Orchestra" in 1992, and was appointed concertmaster the following year. Since then, he has been the "face of the Kamakura Symphony Orchestra" for about 30 years, and since 2015, he has also been the concertmaster of "Mihara Symphonica," which was formed by amateur orchestra members mainly from the Kanto area. He also holds mini-concerts every year in Fukuoka, and is involved in a variety of other musical activities.
