Fukuyama Castle (Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture) celebrated its 400th anniversary last year.
As the centerpiece of the commemorative event, an opera was created starring Fukuyama City's historical figure, Masahiro Abe. The production will be performed again with new music to the highly popular work.
