The Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, one of the finest orchestras in Japan, will present masterpieces with a rich sound.
The orchestra will be conducted by 83-year-old master conductor Kenichiro Kobayashi, known affectionately as "Kobaken," who is enormously popular.
His energetic baton creates an overwhelming sound that envelops the audience in deep emotion.

Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5, the main program, is the most popular of Tchaikovsky's symphonies and was performed at the opening performance of the Nagano Arts Center in May 2016. The dramatic development from the sad atmosphere of the opening to the joyous finale, the colorful sounds of the various instruments, and the lively rhythms make this piece one of Tchaikovsky's most appealing. KOBAKEN, who specializes in conducting this work, will put his heart and soul into every note, building up an exciting climax that is sure to excite the audience.

In the first half, Mayu Kishima, a talented violinist who has been a popular guest on the "Mizukura" performance series at the museum for her outstanding performances while serving as a TV commentator, will perform Mendelssohn's masterpiece concerto with the audience.
