2023/10/08(Su.) 14:00 Starting

Suginami Public Hall, Main HallTokyo

Official https://www.ofo.tokyo/news/post-3453/

The orchestra was founded in November 2015, after our appearance at the Ogikubo Music Festival, and under the vision of "local community with music at its core", we aim to create a rich "Ogikubo color" that everyone involved in the orchestra can enjoy. We look forward to seeing you at the festival.

Program

  • Overture to the opera "Prince Igor

    A. Borodin

  • Trumpet Concerto in E major

    J.N. Hummel

  • Symphony No. 3 in E flat major, op. 97 "Rhine

    R. Schumann

The first piece is the overture to Borodin's opera "Prince Igor," which is filled with various musical ideas and has an appealing oriental atmosphere throughout.
The second piece will be Hummel's Trumpet Concerto, performed solo by our advisor, Junpei Kinoshita. As a pianist and composer, Hummel was a master pianist and composer, a twin of his contemporary Beethoven. The contrast between brilliance and pathos is striking in this piece.
The main piece was Schumann's Symphony No. 3 "Rhine", the first performance by this orchestra. It is said to reflect the scene along the Rhine River from Lorelei - Koblenz - Bonn - Cologne Cathedral - Düsseldorf and the impression of the people of the region.
