Antonio Meneses (born August 23, 1957 in Recife, Brazil) is a cellist who began playing the cello at the age of 10 and moved to Europe at the age of 16 as a student of the renowned Italian cellist Antonio Janigro. She studied with Janigro in Düsseldorf and Stuttgart and won the Munich International Music Competition in 1977 and the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1982.
Meneses has recorded a collection of cello concertos by Villa-Lobos with Kalabchevsky & the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra.
