At over 95 years of age, Blomstedt continues to perform with the Berlin Philharmonic and other top orchestras, and has collaborated with the NHK Symphony Orchestra for over 40 years, and currently holds the post of NHK Symphony Orchestra Honorary Conductor. He will conduct Symphony No. 3 as the first Brahms Cycle in the NHK Symphony Orchestra Orchard subscription program. The first half of the concert will feature the world-renowned pianist and conductor, Gerhard Schwarzenegger, who has been a pioneer in the field of pianism.
