He opened the new season with Kyohei Tanda, the second prize winner of the Chopin Competition!

The PAC's 18th season is now underway! Artistic Director Yutaka Sado will conduct, and the soloist will be the pianist Kyohei Tanada, who has been active in various fields since winning the second prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in 2021.
Composed in 1938 and substantially revised in 1945, Britten's Piano Concerto is a work that combines glamour with a darkness reminiscent of the looming shadow of war. Expectations are high for Sanda's superb technique and rich expression.
The second half of the concert will be No. 4, one of Tchaikovsky's most popular symphonies. The orchestra and PAC performed this piece at the regular concert 15 years ago, and Artistic Director Yutaka Sado said, "As we approach our 20th anniversary, we would like to look back on our past efforts with a renewed focus on the masterpieces we have worked on in the past.
