    Edvard Grieg.

  • Concerto for Strings

    Nino Rota

Grieg: Suite "From the Time of Holbea
A very standard piece for string ensemble. It is a refreshing masterpiece full of Scandinavian atmosphere and lyricism.

Nino Rota: Concerto for strings
Nino Rota has a strong image as a master of film music such as "The Godfather's Love Theme," but his main occupation is classical music. The "Concerto for Strings" is full of colorful melodies and lively rhythms that bring various images to life like a painting.

Reinecke: Serenade for Strings
Carl Reinecke was a German Romantic composer, conductor, and educator. Although not well known, one of his students at the Leipzig Conservatory was Grieg. Serenade for Strings" is composed of six unique pieces in traditional style, celebrating varied rhythms, beautiful melodies, and rich harmonies. The concerto-like cello solos are also worth listening to.
