Mayora Canames Tokyo 10th Anniversary Subscription Concert

Mayora Canames Tokyo is a music group founded in 2012 with Yusuke Watanabe, a vocalist active with the Bach Collegium Japan and other groups, as its musical director. The group has sung Handel's "Messiah", which is the inspiration for the group's name, with great care as the group's main repertoire since its 1st Subscription (2014/Dublin premiere version), 4th Subscription (2017/London premiere version), 7th Subscription (2020/1750 version), and 8th Subscription (2021/an orphanage version). The fifth "Messiah" will mark the 10-year milestone. This will be the first time for Mayora Canames Tokyo to perform Handel's arrangement, which retains the beauty and grandeur of Handel's original while Mozart's colorful expressions and ornaments give it a unique charm.
