This year's Kenmin Ongaku no Hiroba will be the first appearance in Kiryu by both a conductor and a soloist. The conductor is Mr. Kimbo Ishii, who has been active in Europe and Japan, serving as General Music Director of the Magdeburg Opera, Principal Guest Conductor of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra, and General Music Director of the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater in Germany.
