Heiligenstadt Philharmonic Orchestra
The 6th Concert
2023/11/05(su.) 14:00 Starting
We are a chamber orchestra launched in Tokyo in 2019 by amateur players who love the fragrant traditional sound of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which is considered the world's greatest orchestra. The wind and percussion instruments are the same as those of the Vienna Philharmonic: Vienna horn, Vienna oboe, Vienna Academy-style clarinet, and Schneller-style (hand-tuned) timpani. Heiligenstadt" is the name of a place in Vienna's 19th district, famous for Beethoven's walkway, the house where he wrote his will, and the Heuriger (local wine tavern). Feel the breath of this land in our tone.
In this sixth installment of the Schubert Symphony Ticles, we will continue to introduce some of Beethoven's lesser-known works (including a Viennese basset horn!) with a cello concerto by a soloist who is a proud member of the Schubert Symphony Orchestra. The cello concerto is a classic, but not easy to play with prestige. This is a classically orthodox program that is difficult to perform in a prestigious setting, but we will try to bring out the best in our sound.
