The Japan Amateur Performers Association (APA) is a nationwide network of chamber music lovers. As a part of its activities, the APA holds monthly meetings of chamber music ensembles, mainly at the Okurayama Memorial Hall in Okurayama on the Toyoko Line, and twice a year in the spring and fall, it also holds recitals. This year's concert will be held at Salvia Hall (Music Hall), where nine groups will present chamber music ranging from Mozart to Hindemith, some famous, some rare, and in a variety of formations (strings, winds, and piano). Admission is free, reservations are not required, and you are free to come and go as you please between pieces. Please come and enjoy the challenges that only amateurs can take on.
