A series of talk concerts centered on the history of the Tensho Mission to Europe in the 16th century, when the boys risked their lives to travel to the West and bring back to Japan the music and musical instruments of the time. Program West] traces the history of European music (Renaissance music) that the boys saw and heard at the time, and the history of Baroque music that developed in Europe thereafter. The music of the time will be introduced along with the historical Western instruments that the boys brought to Japan 400 years ago, which are still rare in Japan. A CD limited to the concert tour will also be available for purchase.
