Orchestra Fontana is an amateur orchestra organized by amateurs with the aim of "reuniting and giving concerts once again mainly for alumni who have enjoyed playing in university orchestras in Fukuoka and then scattered across the country.
Fontana means "fountain" or "spring" in Italian, and we named this orchestra in the hope that it will become such a "place of relaxation.
The orchestra will be conducted by Prof. Shinya Ozaki, who was a great help to many of the participating members when they were students, and will perform "Shostakovich Symphony No. 10" and "Grieg's 'Peer Gynt' Suite.
