Founded in 1992 by members of the St. Thomas Boys Choir in Leipzig. Since then, it has continued to be one of the world's leading vocal ensembles. The ensemble is characterized not only by its unique tone, breathtaking homogeneity, and musical authenticity, but also by its overflowing charm and humor. The repertoire is vast and diverse, ranging from medieval monophonic chants, madrigals, and Renaissance masses to European Romantic and 20th century works, arrangements of a cappella folk songs from around the world, and even soul music and jazz.

Along with the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the St. Thomas Boys Choir, they are representative of the Leipzig music scene, both in Germany and abroad. His numerous concert tours have taken him to more than 50 countries and he has performed in almost every corner of the world.
