Mitsuhisa Tsuchiya graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music with a Bachelor of Music and completed a Master's degree at the Toho Gakuen Graduate School of Music. While in graduate school, Tsuchiya was selected as a soloist in an on-campus audition and performed with the Toho Academy Orchestra. She completed her master's program at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels with the highest distinction (Grande Distinction). She won the first prize at the 10th Jura Kisch International Piano Competition. 3rd Prize at the 12th Tokyo Piano Competition. 3rd Prize at the 4th Japan Music Competition. 3rd Prize at the 2nd Inzai International Music Competition, Professional Division. Bronze Prize at the 11th Kobe Piano Competition.
