The Riki Philharmonisches Orchestra (commonly known as the Riki Philharmonic Orchestra), founded in 2015 by conductor Rikiya Nagano, gave a series of concerts focusing on Bruckner's symphonies, starting with the first and finishing with the ninth symphony, but then suspended its activities due to the outbreak of the new corona virus. In June 2022, the orchestra held a memorial concert of Bruckner's Symphony No. 0, which was scheduled to be performed at the end of the Bruckner symphony series, and the activities of Rikiya Nagano Orchestra were terminated.
However, the Riki Memorial Orchestra (RMO) was formed on September 1, 2022, with the intention of continuing the activities of those who nurtured the music with Rikiya Nagano and inherited his DNA. The RMO will continue to perform Bruckner's symphonies at its biannual concerts.
