Yuko Nakamichi: Yuko Nakamichi is a pianist beloved by audiences for her emotionally rich musicality and warm tone.
After graduating from Toho Girls' High School of Music, she went to Germany to study with Klaus Schilde. In May 1996, she began a full-fledged solo career in Japan, giving recitals in various cities and performing with major orchestras in Japan as well as in the field of chamber music.
Since 2006, she has performed annually as a pianist in the recitation play "Summer of Moonlight" (a project co-produced by the theater company Tohnen), and she also enthusiastically participates in concerts that consider peace and other projects of social significance. She is also deeply interested in the spread of music education, and devotes herself to a variety of performance activities, including concerts to share the joy of music and familiarity with the piano with children, concerts tracing 300 years of piano history with piano pieces and stories, and collaborations with recitations.
Her CDs have been released by Victor Entertainment and Octavia Records. Her CD of piano pieces for children, "Love on the Wind" (Octavia Records), composed by Karen Tanaka, was selected as a special selection by Record Geijutsu (Recorded Arts). He is a professor of the Department of Performance at Osaka University of Arts.
