To begin with, the only people who know about Rebecca Clark are those who play the viola, and even among them, there may not be many who "like" her. And, moreover, no one would have tried to put on a concert in which only Clarke's works would be performed. That is why we chose it as our first feature. Because we are the Crazy Gal Orchestra.

WHO IS REBECCA CLARKE?
English composer (1886-1979). She received a musical education from an early age, and studied violin at the Royal Academy of Music, but was expelled by her father. She was one of the first female students to study composition at the Royal College of Music, but her relationship with her father deteriorated again, and she was disowned, which led to her career as a viola player and performer around the world. She performed with such great artists as Casals, Heifetz, Thiebaud, and Rubinstein, and was the first woman to play in a professional orchestra. In 1942, she began working as a nanny, and in 1944, she married James Friskin, whom she had known since their college days.
