Shino Takizawa
Shino Takizawa is a pianist for the Vienna State Opera and Ballet. Born in Osaka. Graduated from Toho Gakuen Junior College of Arts, majoring in piano. Won the Gold Prize at the 1st Sakai Piano Competition. Won the Gold Prize at the 1st 21st Century Piano Competition. Since her school days, she has been involved in opera and ballet accompaniment, and aspires to become a chorepetist in the performing arts. After working as a contract pianist for the New National Theatre Ballet, she moved to Europe to "live in the home of the arts," and in 2011 signed an exclusive contract with the Vienna State Ballet. As a soloist, she has performed Bach's Piano Concerto No. 1, Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 3, and Grieg's Piano Concerto at ballet and gala performances at the Vienna State Opera. (She has released five ballet lesson CDs from Shinshokan Co., Ltd. and is currently writing a popular series of articles on the web media "Ballet Channel" entitled "Ballet Pianist in Vienna: Shino Takizawa's Music Diary," which is now in its fourth year.
