The 17th concert of the Arietta Symphony Orchestra, an amateur orchestra based in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, will be held with Mr. Yashiya Nojiri, who is active in the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ishida-gumi, a hard string ensemble, and has long been the guest concertist of the orchestra. Following Saint-Saens No. 3 at the 12th concert in July 2019, we will perform Dvojak's concerto with Mr. Nojiri. Dvojak's violin concerto is not as often performed as his cello concerto, but it has become increasingly popular in recent years.
The Brahms 2nd Symphony, which will be performed in the second half of the concert, is a repeat performance since the 3rd concert in June 2014, and has been performed at Sun Azalea in Wako since that concert. It has been exactly 10 years since the first concert was held in Nishi-Tokyo City. Now that the 20th concert is just around the corner, we hope you will enjoy the beautiful collaboration between the orchestra and Maestro Oichi, who has been with us since our founding many years ago.
