Musashino Chamber Ensemble is a small amateur chamber orchestra formed in 1997 and active in Akishima City. The ensemble focuses on classical works by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and others, and strives to perform with an awareness of the style of performance at the time of composition. Our goal is to create beautiful, transparent harmonies and lively music that only a small group can produce.
We also try to constantly expand our repertoire by featuring unique works from the Romantic and Modern periods. We also actively perform concertos and other works featuring talented soloists, which have been well received by the public.
We have more than 30 members, mostly office workers and housewives, but we also have a wide age range from high school students to those in their 70s, and many members are married couples or families. With the motto of "friendly and joyful" from our daily practice, we are always striving to improve our performance level to please our customers while enjoying the ensemble.
