Summer Festival Classics is becoming famous as a major summer event in Kawasaki.
This year, over 200 chorus members and 80 orchestra members were recruited from the general public. The chorus is led by Music Director Okada, with Chikako Osumi, Kenji Kasai, and Hideya Masuhara as vocal instructors, Hikaru Harada as original language instructor, and Akiko Maeda and Sachiko Watanabe as rehearsal pianists.
The Festival Orchestra is led by Maestro Sho Ito, who made his Summer Festival debut last year with great enthusiasm. Led by concertmaster Haini Shimizu, the orchestra is led by Kuriko Yokoyama, Asako Hisatake, Masaru Toshima, Masaru Nakayama, Shozo Tsumori, and Masaru Yashima. In addition, more than a dozen music college students participated as string assistants.
