"contraction and release".
The motto of Martha Graham, the founder of modern dance, "contraction and release" is a methodology that differs from classical ballet in that it is composed of muscle tension and relaxation. The Tokyo Academy Orchestra, which performs without a conductor, feels each other's breathing and weaves music organically as an ensemble. The opposing structure of "tension and relaxation" breathes life into the music, and the contrasts between "German and French music" and "Classical and Romantic music" will be more clearly drawn.
