The "Musiksalon by Eri Manya" is a recital project that will begin in the summer of 2023, featuring concerts with no admission fee, based on the three pillars of historical architecture, piano music, and talks by the performers.

This year, at four different venues in Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, and Tokyo, the recitals will feature the piano suite "Impromptu Pieces, Op. 18" by Romanian national composer Georges Enescu, Brahms' late masterpiece "Seven Fantasias, Op. 116," which greatly influenced him, and "New Clavusan Suite," Op. 5, by Rameau, the leading French composer of the Baroque era. The program will feature six pieces including "The Hen" from the fifth suite of "Suite de Clavesan" by Rameau, one of the most famous French composers of the Baroque era.

We would like to create a place where the audience can not only enjoy the music and the atmosphere of the building, but also to come more casually and proactively engage with artists and the arts, like the salon concerts and church concerts that are held on a daily basis in Europe. With this in mind, we have decided to use a century-old facility as the venue for all of our events, and we will be charging a "Pay What You Want" admission fee (post-paid*).

Since moving to Germany, I have experienced the culture shock of being exposed to a world where classical concerts and other projects are only possible with the donations of the audience and supporters. It is still rare for a performer to give a recital in this way, but we would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. A for giving us the opportunity to put it into practice.

We hope that this concert series will be a place of new discovery and experience for everyone who attends.
