The group began its activities in 1989 with 10 graduates of the Kanagawa Prefectural Tama High School Chorus Club. The name of the group is a combination of "044," the area code for Kawasaki City, and the English word "Call" and the German word "Chor," meaning "chorus. Currently, a wide range of members from various backgrounds pursue the beauty of harmony woven by the human voice, focusing on unaccompanied choral music.
This year's concert, the 20th anniversary, will feature motets by Bruckner and Stanford, as well as works by Yuta Miyake. Including summer popular songs (with piano accompaniment), we aim to present a stage for everyone to enjoy in our beautifully resonant hall.
