Mühlfeld Chamber Ensemble 6th Concert

2023/06/11(su.) 14:00 Starting

Tiara Koto Small HallTokyo

The first concert featured the Clarinet Quintet and the fourth concert featured the Sonata No. 2, and this sixth concert will feature the Trio. In this sixth concert, the clarinet will be replaced by a viola, as designated by Brahms himself.
The second half will be the brightest and most powerful No. 3 from "The Rasumovsky Quartet," a work from Beethoven's golden period called "The Forest of Masterpieces.
Both are masterpieces overflowing with passion.
We look forward to seeing you at the concert.

Mühlfeld Chamber Ensemble
The Mühlfeld Chamber Ensemble is a chamber ensemble of alumni and former members of the Waseda University Philharmonic Orchestra. The Mühlfeld Chamber Ensemble was formed in 2014 by the 34th class of the Philharmonic Wind Orchestra in order to further develop the chamber music activities that they have been engaged in since they were members of the Philharmonic. The name of the group is derived from Brahms' Clarinet Quintet, which was featured in the program of the first concert, and is named in praise and honor of Mühlfeldt, the virtuoso who inspired Brahms in his later years.
